Astrantia - Snow Star
The Astrantia Snow Star PP#12697, 'Astrantia', is a lovely variety from Future Plants®. It is pale greenish white, with the light scent of anise. It grows to a height: 30". It is Plant Patent Protected. Asexual Propagation Prohibited. These long flowering perennials are ideal when planted in borders or along streams. It makes an excellent cut flower. Astrantias thrive in moist, humus-rich or heavy clay soil. With good soil moisture, astrantias can be planted in full sun. To stimulate more blooms, remove old flowers. Blooms last long - late spring to early summer, and the bracts usually remain attractive well after bloom. Like little pincushions, their abundant blooms float above rosettes of mid-sized, deeply lobed, bright green leaves. ... more information
Geranium - Southcombe Double Geraniums are grown in almost any soil as long as it is not wet. They are perfect in the perennial border and work well as a ground cover too. This plant would look wonderful in a pot on a sun-drenched porch and is also deer resistant. |
