It Is Incredible – Manual Lawn Edger Review
I am still using the original blade, so nothing has been a serious problem. Compared with the manual edgers which you have to push hard and fast, this small electric model is a dream. I’ve had to return one item bought through Amazon for replacement, and that was an easy and excellent experience. I have used this product only once and it is far superior to the Ryobi that I had before it. When trimming denser grass, the guard tends to catch on the grass. I had to fight with the trimmer a few times to push it along my taller edges. On short edges, the Edge Hog just breezes right through. Even with the overgrowth, the Hog managed to cut through and leave a nice edge.
My wife and I had always used a hole to edge with. Boy what a difference the edger made. I find I spend 1/2 the time with this edger doing the same work. I actually do more work now in less time since I use it for trenching the flower-bed lines now.
This edger gives a distinctive defined edge. When I first used it, I was totally impressed with the edge. The hard part was crawling along the ground pushing wire into the trench. It also made the job go much faster than expected.
It kicked up a lot of solid dirt and clay. After the first cut, I was ready to go from there on out!
I am not happy with the short handle on this edger or the strength of the machine. I have used it only once and it worked well It won’t cut the grass, it just crush…
By the way, I don’t know what to do with the extra blade that I ordered, because the current one doesn’t seem to be in trouble for a long time to come. Wish you luck. Does a fantastic job with regular edging; landscape edging is good but not great. The edger seems to work fine.
You definitely need a soft grass and absolutely no stones. I guess in my case, I just chose the wrong tool. I hit a few, and it caused no problems! We now know we will be getting more use out of this tool in the future. I used full depth and the machine performed flawlessly. I bought an extra blade with my original purchase and it is still in the package it came in.
Overall, it gets the job done, but I did notice two design flaws: 1. INDOOR ELECTRIC GRILL.
