The Hemerocallis ‘Mary Todd’, also known as a Daylilly, has a wonderful bright yellow flower with a green throat. Lightly ruffled and crimped, it has a flower size of 4. 5”. With dark green foliage, this Daylily will reach a height of 26” and a plant spread of 23-29”. It's award include the Award of Merit and Stout Silver Medal, and one can see why. ‘Mary Todd’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and is a definite rebloomer. ‘Mary Todd’ prefers a full sun area that is well-drained. Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). ‘Mary Todd’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Hosta - Liberty The Hosta Liberty, Hosta 'Liberty' (PP12,531), is a sport of the well known variety Sagae and is considered by many to be the finest hosta ever introduced. It is a medium sized hosta that has a dark green leaves with a wide golden yellow margin that changes to cream in the summer and stems producing lavender colored flowers. The lavender flowers of this fast growing hosta bloom in late summer, however, hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Liberty is no exception. Liberty needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained spot. Liberty is one of the best variegated slug resistant hosta's. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
