Diascia - Red Ace
The Diascia 'Red Ace', exhibits flowers that are a deep rose pink. It is a popular selection of Twinspur renown for it's production of bloom. This is a vigorous selection that benefits from being cut back occasionally to renew foliage and flower power. It is an early bloomer with a compact growth habitPlant in full sun in fertile well drained soil. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Diascia is probably best suited to be grown in mixed containers, hanging baskets or window boxes. Every deck and patio should have at least one 'Red Ace'. Dianthus - Blushing Maidens The Dianthus 'Blushing Maidens' Dianthus Hybrid, has beautiful blush pink blooms and silver foliage. With its grassy blue-gray foliage and profuse blooming time, ‘Blushing Maidens’ is one not to miss. Dianthus ‘Blushing Maidens’ has a plant spread of 6-8” and a height of 6”. Dianthus will bloom from mid summer to early fall. In order for a longer bloom time, deadhead the blooms continuously throughout the summer. Dianthus needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon and humidity. These fragrant, spicy dove like flowers look wonderful as a border plant, rock gardens, along walks or paths, for edging and a definite in cottage - a very pretty plant. |
