Gunnera - Great
The Great Gunnera, 'Gunnera manicata', is a plant with enormous proportions. Grows to 10' tall and 10' wide after a couple of years. Best grown solitary near a pond or stream, and in deep moist soils. Has massive pannicles hidden below the gorgeous foliage. It is an enormous plant usually seen at the water-side or in wet soil. Bold, rich green leaves grow amazingly fast. Needs protection against frost, preferably with mulch of their own foliage. It likes cool weather with full sun and lots of water. Geranium - Southcombe Double The Geranium Southcombe Double, 'Geranium oxonianum', displays fully double, pure pink blooms that sit atop bright green stems. Southcombe Double blooms almost non-stop throughout the summer, into fall. They do best in sun, but will tolerate some degree of shade. For the most part, cranesbill are long-lived and do not require a lot of care. |
