Hosta - Great Expectations
The Hosta Great Expectations, 'Hosta sieboldiana', has puckered heart shaped leaves with creamy yellow centers and irregular blue-green edges. The white flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known for their flowers. With a plant height of 24” and a spread of 36”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Great Expectations’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained location. Dwarf Fleece Flower - Dimity The superb green leaves turn red bronze in the fall and the pink flower spikes appear from summer into autumn. ‘Dimity’ has a plant height of 6” and a spread of 18-23”. The foliage forms a shiny carpet that should not be missed. ‘Dimity’ should be planted in a full sun area but can tolerate some afternoon shade. ‘Dimity’ will look great in any perennial garden, in mixed container, woodland edge or near ponds and streams. |
