Hosta - Night Before Christmas

The Hosta Night Before Christmas, 'Hosta', has large, pointed green leaves with narrow white centers. The foliage is slightly wavy with heavy leaf substance. The pale lavender flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta’s are not known for their flowers. With a plant height of 26” and a spread of 36”, Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Night Before Christmas’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. Coreopsis - Zagreb The Coreopsis ‘Zagreb’, Coreopsis verticillata, is a prolific bloomer of bright yellow flowers that bloom from June through October. With a plant height of 15” and a spread of 12-18”, its delicate dark green foliage has an airy and delicate appearance. ‘Zagreb’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Coreopsis Zagreb looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. It is very effective in naturalized areas, rock and cottage gardens or wild gardens.
