Hydrangea - Quick Fire™

Quick Fire™ Hydrangea, Hydrangea paniculata 'Bulk' (PP16,812), is quick to bloom, nearly a month earlier than other varieties and turns a rich, deep pink. Extend the hydrangea season in your garden with a planting of this quick and easy to grow hydrangea. The flowers on Quick Fire are not affected by soil pH. They are produced on ‘new wood’ and will bloom after even the harshest winters. They are beautiful for use as a cut (fresh or dried) flower. It is a deciduous shrub with a moderate to fast growth habit which grows 6-8 feet in height and width and prefers full sun or partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Mountain Laurel The Mountain Laurel, Kalmia latifolia, is a native American plant. It is the state flower of Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The plants will set buds as early as fall. The plants are striking in the contrast between the buds and flowers. This plant can withstand below zero temperatures and it is sun loving. However, the root systems are fine and shallow. Water often during growth periods, do not let the plant dry out.
