Larkspur - Giant Imperial Mix

The Larkspur Giant Imperial Blend, 'Consolida ambigua', has tall spires of elegant, tightly packed flowers. Shades of blue, pink, and white flowers are set atop of long stems. The Giant Imperial Larkspur blooms in mid spring to early summer. The Larkspur prefer a cool location in full sun. They like moist, rich, well drained soil that is slightly alkaline. Plant in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Larkspur are excellent for cut or dried flowers and as backdrop plant in front of a fence or wall. ... details

 

Gourd - Ornamental - Crown of Thorns The Gourd Ornamental Shenot Crown of Thorns Blend, 'Cucurbita pepo var. ovifera', is an amazingly symmetrical gourd with 10 little "fingers" that protrude to make a crown. The vine is smaller than many gourd vines, and it can be grown in large hanging baskets or containers. Harvest the Crown of Thorns in time to use as a holiday decorations or crafts projects, such as weird-shaped small bowls. Shenot was selected for it's very uniform gourds. Plant in the spring, 2 to 4 weeks after the last average frost date and when soil temperatures have risen above 60 degrees. Gourds should be kept evenly moist and at the end of the season keep them on the dry side.
