The Lavatera is one of the most versatile plants in the garden and is very easy to grow. Lavatera Blushing Blends 4 inch satiny flowers will remind you of hibiscus and hollyhock. They will bloom from summer into early fall. Lavatera prefers full sun and any well drained garden soil. Very fertile soil will produce more foliage than flowers. It can be sown every 6 weeks through the summer for continual crops. In warm climates, sow in the fall. The soil should be well drained and very fertile with lots of organic matter. Cut individual stems or harvest the whole plant about 1 inch above the ground.
