Ligularia - Brit Marie

The Ligularia Brit Marie Crawford, 'Ligularia dentata', is a wonderful yellow-orange, daisy-like flower with huge glossy maroon foliage that remains dark for most of the season. The foliage can be kidney or round shaped to triangular with a wavy margin. The flowers appear on tall spikes. Blooming from July to August, ‘Brit Marie Crawford’ has a plant height of 3-4’ and a spread of 36-48”. Ligularia should be planted in full shade in a well-drained area. Bellflower - Samantha The Bellflower Samantha, 'Campanula ‘Samantha’, has showy, compact blue-violet flowers with dark green foliage. The flowers are 1” wide and very fragrant. This ground cover is best used in rock gardens, as an edging or in tubs and pots. ‘Samantha’ blooms from early summer to late spring and will sometimes repeat flowering in autumn. It has a plant height of 6-8” and a spread of 18-24”. ‘Samantha’ should be planted in full sun, but will tolerate morning shade and will do well in all types of soil. Try ‘Blue Waterfall’ with Coreopsis ‘Early Sunrise’, Rudbeckia ‘Viette’s Little Suzy’ or Anthemis ‘Susan Mitchell’.
