Lungwort - Mrs. Moon

The Pulmonaria ‘Mrs. Moon’, Pulmonaria saccharata, also known as Lungwort or Bethlehem Sage, is a great ground cover for any shady area, helping to lighten up parts of the garden. The foliage is fuzzy and dark green, speckled with silver and red to pink flowers that often turn into blue in May. ‘Mrs. Moon’ has a plant height of 10-12” and a spread of 18-23”. ‘Mrs. Moon’ needs to be planted in a full shaded area with well-drained soil. This dainty creeping variety with its light purple flowers, yellow-flecked green foliage, and lemony scent has saved many a strawberry pot from early retirement. This dwarf variety has star-shaped purple flowers and glossy foliage. It tolerates light shade or full sun.
