The Physostegia ‘Miss Manners’, Physostegia virginiana, also know as Obedient Plant, has bright white spiked flowers that are 18” tall and a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Miss Manners’ blooms from June to September and the waxy, dark green foliage makes this plant a little different from other white blooming perennials. ‘Miss Manners’ needs a full sun area but will tolerate some afternoon shade, in well-drained soil. ? ‘Miss Manners’ is not as aggressive as most other Physostegia. Use ‘Miss Manners’ in borders, mixed plantings, massed plantings (especially to separate other colors), in large containers or as cut flowers. Geranium - Spring Time The Geranium Springtime, Geranium phaeum 'Springtime' (PP13,785), has purple colored flowers that blooms all summer long. Springtime can be planted in full sun to partial shade. For best results, plant in a dry to average moisture area and make sure the site is well-drained. Springtime has vareigated foliage in the spring and tolerates dry shade better than most geraniums. The Geranium family is well known for its stunning fall colors that include reds, oranges, and yellows. It is a superb plant for cottage gardens, container growing, borders or informal borders in mass plantings. There is an attaction to bees and butterflies and it is very disease and deer resistant. A great plant for a beginner gardener.
