Petunia - Surfinia Amethyst

The Petunia Surfinia Amethyst, 'Petunia hybrids', are brilliant in color and are very low maintenance. Surfinia Petunias are the most vigorous cascading petunias available. The densely branched foliage and masses of blooms can trail to 4 feet per season. The Surfinia Amethyst Petunia has beautiful light purple flowers. Surfinia Petunias are a vigorously trailing species of an everblooming long-living petunia from South America. They will provide long-term color in full sun areas throughout the season. They are ideal for baskets, beds, balconies and combination plantings. Surfinia Petunias are very heat and drought tolerant once established in the ground or pot. They do not need to have their dead flower heads removed to continue flowering and they are not leggy. Surfinia Petunias grow fast and therefore need ample moisture and fertilzer. They are great for baskets or even gallon pots and landscapes. Impatiens are a low maintainence flower but do require frequent waterings. Place in moist but not wet, well-drained soil. Fertilize twice a month in beds, every week in containers. This plant can also be a perennial in warmer zones.
