Snowbird Potentilla, Potentilla fruticosa 'Snowbird', is an attractive selection from Canada. It has dark green, glossy foliage and approximately 80% of the white flowers are double with two rows of petals. Snowbird forms an upright compact shape at maturity. Plant in full sun or semi shade. Due to its neutral colour, will contrast well with most other shrubs and plants. This fast grower reaches 2-3 feet in height and width. Very attractive plant for butterflies and likes full sun or partial shade and somewhat regular watering. You can plant it with the assurance that it will live. It requires little, if no care once established. It is compact and free flowering.
