Rose Campion - Gardener's World
The Lychnis Gardener's World, 'Lychniscoronaria', a Blooms of Bressingham plant, is an upright perennial with woolly silver foliage. The magenta-red double blooms resemble small carnations. ‘Gardener’s World’ is a definite improvement from other Lychnis. The flower is larger, sterile and more refined. ‘Gardner’s World’ has a plant height of 24-36” and 10” spread. The beautiful blooms last from from June to August. ‘Gardener’s World’ should be planted in full sun to light shade, but does require moisture and free-draining soil. Lychnis is deer resistant and a great perennial for mass plantings or at the back of a border. ... additional information
Peony - Shawnee Chief The Peony Shawnee Chief, Paeonia 'Shawnee Chief' has deep red blossoms and is one of the most vigorous growers of all the peonies. Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day. All of our peonies are widely adaptable to most soils across the country. They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. Often thought of as a plant used on the farm or out in the country, they bring a little bit of that country feeling to your garden. It is not uncommon to see peonies planted along the driveway or lane in a mass. |
