Salvia - Lady in Red

The Salvia Lady in Red, 'Salvia coccinea', is an elegant alternative to the more familiar scarlet salvia varieties usually seen in bedding schemes. The flower-spikes have all the vivacity of those popular plants, but they are longer and less cluttered with blooms, which gives the plants an airy grace and more of a shrub-like appearance. Pruning these plants after flowering will produce sideshoots in spring for cuttings. They are very uniform plants and are heat and drought tolerant. This red-spiked variety performs well in containers and small space gardens. They are virtually irresistible to hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. ... more information

Petunia - Supertunia ® Mini Blue The Petunia Supertunia ® Mini Blue, 'Petunia hybrids', are wonderfully fragrant and have masses of small flowers and a vigorous trailing habit that turn hanging baskets and decorative urns into garden masterpieces. The Mini Blue has beautiful blue flowers. Supertunias are a vigorously trailing species of an everblooming, long-living petunia from Australia. They will provide long-term color in full sun areas throughout the season, and can grow nearly an inch a day. They are ideal for baskets, beds, balconies and combination plantings. Supertunias are very heat and drought tolerant once established in the ground or pot. They do not need to have their dead flower heads removed to continue flowering and they are not leggy. Supertunias grow fast and therefore need ample moisture and fertilzer.
