Spiraea - Darts Red

The Spirea 'Dart's Red', Spiraea x bumalda 'Dart's Red', is a deciduous semi-evergreen shrub. It is a low growing shrub with rounded shape. The thin branches give Dart's Red a very dense appearance. The young leaves have a pinkish red color and become dark green at maturity. Distinguished by their size, bloom color and season of bloom, spireas all have small leaves and fine, twiggy branches. Mock Orange - Sweet The Sweet Mock Orange, Philadephus coronarius, is a deciduous shrub. Flowers are single, semi-double, or double and they vary in size. The bloom period is quite short, normally not more than 7 to 10 days. It is possible that most mock oranges will suffer from occasional tip kill in zone 4 and quite often in zone 3.
