Spiderwort - Shimmer Mixed The Spiderwort Shimmer Mixed, 'Tradescantia andersoniana', has compact and upright green foliage with large pink, lilac, blue, rose, mauve and occasional white flowers. The flowers open for one day but new blooms appear from June to October. With a plant height of 30” and a spread of 24-36”, it is one that should not be missed. Deadhead after the first flowering to prolong its blooming time. Tradescantia ‘Shimmer Mixed’ should be planted in a sunny area, but they will tolerate some morning shade, with well-drained soil.
