Veronica - Blue Streak
The Veronica Blue Streak, 'Veronica spicata', is an easy to grow perennial that adds beauty to any garden. This Veronica produces wonderful spikes of lavender blue flowers that bloom from June till September. With its brilliant green foliage, it has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24”. ‘Blue Streak’ needs a full sun area with well-drained soil. Deadhead the flowers after the first bloom to prolong its bloom time. Veronica can be used as a ground cover, in mass plantings or along borders. Iris - Immortality The Iris Immortality, Iris x germanica 'Immortality' is a fragrant reblooming bearded iris that has pure white flowers and cream coloredbeards. With a velvety texture and beautiful sword-shaped foliage, it has a plant height of 35”. It prefers average, well-drained soil but has excellent drought tolerance. Immortality prefers full sun, but will tolerate a little afternoon shade. It will make a great addition around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings. It can also be used in difficult banks and preventing erosion. They also make magnificent cut flowers and are resistant to deer. |
