Yucca - Color Guard

The Adam's Needle, 'Yucca filamentosa ‘Color Gard’, is a clump forming perennial with yellow strips down the middle of the dark green foliage, looking ribbon-like. In the winter months, the foliage turns pink. The creamy, bell-shaped, white flowers hover over the foliage and are fragrant. The red coloration on the long blades highlight the flowering crown. ‘Color Gard’ has a plant height of 24” and a spread of 36”. It should be planted in full sun and in a well-drained area. ‘Color Gard’ looks great in a subject garden or in containers and is also a butterfly attractor. ... more info

Peony - Raspberry Sundae The Peony Raspberry Sundae, Paeonia lactiflora 'Raspberry Sundae' has white blooms with a raspberry swirled center across each bloom. Peonies are one of the best cut flowers and are often used in the Midwest to decorate gravesites on Memorial Day. They bloom in mid to late spring and have very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden. Peonies can handle dry to moist sites, and do best in full sun but can handle some light shade. Often thought of as a plant used on the farm or out in the country, they bring a little bit of that country feeling to your garden.
